I might be around and about over the next few weeks too. There's actually quite a contingent of TPers in the Gloucester/Cheltenham area.

Over-enthusiastic beginner, me. :geek:

Hey Agger, how much and how easy was it to get from Oxford to Gloucester? (er...in your case, it'd be the reverse)

and I thought there was only one of us in this village :nono: :D

I up for ouwt, round and about, Glos. Any time of day any day of the week. I can recommend a hostelry to meet at - or even my place. Before going on either a togs outing or to get rat-faced, er, fed and watered. Or any combination.

I go by car, so it's easy peasy, I'm sure you could do it by National Express or even train but have no idea about costs etc, sorry. It's only about 42 miles for me

I'm away w/e 26/27th in sunny Northampton :(

How about sooner? Or right at the end of the month - maybe with better weather if we're thinking of rampaging amongst the locals armed to the teeth with DSLRs :nono:

:thumbs:I'm cool with end of month, that may be better anyway as it gives a bit more time, what are people's interests:shrug:

I like wildlife but am cool with pretty much anything

I lived there for 15 years. If you are looking for locations then there is the Wildfowl trust at Slimbridge that is well woth a visit for the wildlife contingent. The river severn is often productive too but watch out for the mud, it is lethal!
Gloucester Cathedral is cracking and then there are the Cotswolds on the doorstep. Cirencester is always worth a trip out as is Burford.

Have fun wherever you end up :)

Not in a position to meet up, but the National Birds of Prey Centre at Newent, about 10 miles W of Gloucester, is worth a trip.
