Okay so ive been and invested in what i would call an entry level SLR.

I've bought a Fujifilm Finepix S5700, 10x optical zoom, 4.8x digital zoom and for £150 with a 2Gb memory card i thought it was a good deal, so here's a few quick snaps ive taken today whilst on my travels.

* go easy on me im new remember *

Hi, I don't know much about your camera, however i own the fujifilm s9500 which sounds like similar features. They are great cameras to learn with without having to buy exspensive lenses. Sounds to me like you got a good deal on the price. Keep up the good work. Feel free to check out my website.

Welcome matey, keep up the good work there. Just to let you know, your camera isnt classed as an SLR, its a bridge camera. Either way, they both take great pictures :)

1st thing you need to know... its not an entry SLR..
SLR = single lens reflex.. you look thorugh the viewfinder and look directly through the lens via mirrors..
I would recommend Finepix to anyone starting out as they are affordable and cover masses of focal range..
Trust me, when you get your 1st SLR you will be shocked from the very 1st shot you take.. the noise of the mirror as it flips up to take the shot...
The direct view through the lens instead of looking at a digital image,

as for the pix. no.1 wouldve been great but you needed a much lower angle.
Try thinking out of the box. get low.. try different angles and shot from a none normal perspective :)

good luck with the camera. You have definately come to the right place to learn :)
