As discussed and requested on this thread (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=56059) here are the photos that I entered in the Inverness Camera Club 2007/2008 monthly and annual competitions which resulted in me taking away three trophies including the highest scorer overall.
A good result and I will repeat largely due to getting great critical feedback here!
Now let me start by saying that not all pictures did well and some were entered purely because that was all I had printed or available at the time, nonetheless the "job" was done and much achieved.
26 photos in all and in no particular order.....................

That's a truly superb set of images Gary ... ... some right stunners in there that are clearly deserving of your new hardware ... :D
And ... :suspect: ... I hadn't seen all of them ... ;)
:p
Stunning images there, That first back and white photo is stunning
Love, the golf course. Well seen. I wonder if they knew that's what it looked like from the air.
Oh and you must update your blog. Otherwise I miss some of the great pictures you post on here.

the 21st image is my favourite, i really like the low POV and the sharp reflections. i also really like the photo of the IMAX and the tower, one of my favourite locations for photography.
well done on the success too
dave
Take a seriously large bow mate .. Cracking shots. Still think your flying shots stand out for me. Glasgow as well..You even get in the wobbly bridge, How did that go down in the ''local'' club :)

You have reminded me of this before and I have promised in the past. I am sorry and will try to do something about this but as my togging has been sparse this last while please forgive my tardiness!

Neil, I thank you. You have been very supportive of my work and I greatly appreciate that. This shot went down surprisingly well and was not my first choice but I had little in the way of Urban shots.
Looking forward to meeting you when you eventually walk into my store in Inversnecky!
Pleasure and looking forward to sharing that glass of vino as well.
There is however one shot I expected to see, Rocks on Clachtoll beach
But I am delighted you found a space for Sheltering Fishing Boat
I am guesing was taken at the same time as your Raffin shot ?
Love them all and well done on the trophies !
What a great set :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:
Love the golf course and the field with the patterns round the telegraph poles

Ah! so you are a lover of the abstract?! Look in my eyes..... not around my eyes....... you are falling........
Cheers! I love this stuff and really get a kick when others do too!
Great set Gary
 @ the golf course pattern
That ship is really good  was that taken "in flight?"

The golf course pattern is an ongoing joke as I know the owners of this course and they had no idea........!
The ship in the original picture was facing the other way and the "foliage" was brown as it was late in the year. I used a hue shift to change that and the photo was taken from the car park at the north side of the Kylesku Bridge.
Another bubble burst!
Quite honestly Gary, I'd struggle to choose a favourite. Not in the least surprised that these went down well at the club, they're clearly a discerning bunch. The second and third bike ones make my eyes go a bit funny, but in a good way! That final one really leaves you questioning why, and what, too!
Another bubble burst!
I am GUTTED :(
But couldn't tell that you have had "a fiddle" :D
Fantastic set, certainly worth all those trophies. :notworthy:
Some great images as always Gary, most of which I have seen before. The ones that really stand out for me are the first - very moody and atmospheric, I also like the golf course 'face', another new one on me and very well spotted!
Great work mate and the accolades are well deserved.

They are all great, particularly love all the ones with mountains. Golf course is fun too.

Gosh, what a lot of superb photos, excellent work. :)
Inspiring stuff there Gary!
Your aerial views amaze me as much now as they did the first time I saw them!
Gary, with such a great set it's hard to pick one, but the shot of the wind generator really does stand out, it's such an unusual angle. While the shot of the plane in the hanger is truly excellent, in my opinion, the wind generator shows more invention on your part.
Top marks !
Now s** off and leave us mere mortals to be happy with our "average" shots please
Steve.
A nice overall series but that 1st one is definitely my fav, top notch with superb mood.
I like them all, great work sir!! :D
