Hi Everyone,
On my last flower post, I noticed quite a few peeps said the colours looked over-saturated. I don't PP any of my images; what you see is what you get. I do tend to crank up the settings in the camera though (Vivid, More Vivid, Sharpening etc.) so I'm wondering if that's the culprit. I use a Nikon D80 with the 18-135mm lens. This image is straight from the camera, with the settings turned off. Is this still over-saturated? If so, I'm a bit worried my camera is blowing the colours and don't know why...

Wow - beautiful! And I really like how the colour contrasts with the bleak background. Good work!

No it's not oversaturated, but maybe a little bit under exposed. A reflector might of helped push a little more light on the leaves. Good pic though!

Your not blowing colours Stephen, this one looks a little underexposed and looking at the histogram that confirms this. It a nice shot and sharp as too

As I said, I don't really like to alter my images, but you are all right, it is a little underexposed. I've tweaked the brightness a tad, and took the crop off...
