Nikon UK are pleased to introduce Nikon View Pro, a new browser to meet the intense image management requirements of today’s high-resolution photography. With cameras offering up to 12Mp resolution, or burst rates of up to 8 fps, many hundreds of images can easily be captured on any given assignment and the data loaded into a productive workflow.
Nikon View Pro has been developed on the widely acclaimed stability of Nikon View, to offer a carefully researched balance of streamlined feature set matched to powerful proprietary ‘back end’ processing.

Nikon View Pro’s simplified and intuitive operation enables large amounts of NEF (RAW) data to be managed and checked before entering the editing stage of the workflow process with creative tools such as Capture NX.

Major Features
Fast image display with cache management
• Nikon View Pro displays enormous amounts of high resolution NEF (Raw), JPEG or TIFF images in seconds. Nikon View Pro also offers flexible cache management tools to optimize customer’s hardware to the application.
Accelerated operation with multi-function “Action keys”
• Customers can assign up to 5 particular actions to single button ‘action keys’ activated with a single push. Ideal for repetitive organizational tasks that streamline productivity.
IPTC data editing function
• Users can create or edit IPTC (International Press Telecommunications Council) data and copy this data from one image into another. Individual images can be captioned quickly as required.
Convenient multiple display modes
• Using a multi-view design, Nikon View Pro incorporates a variety of display modes: Thumbnail Mode, Single Image Display Mode, Multi Image Display Mode (Vertical), Multi Image Display Mode (Horizontal), and Full Screen Display Mode. These speed up and simplify image selection and focus checks. Users can also use full-screen viewing with 100% resolution size and the fact that Nikon View Pro uses the computer’s operating system folder tree display to simplify search and navigation.
• Single Image Display Mode simplifies image display to between 100% or 50% viewing.
• One image can be ‘held’ and any number of others referenced against it.
• Full Screen Display Mode enables maximum size display with a frameless window option to make the most of smaller laptop displays (for example).
FTP* data transfer
• When every second counts to meet deadlines, a rapid FTP transfer is possible simply by tagging images for transfer via the customer’s preferred FTP application. This process can be accelerated even further by assigning an ‘action key’ with this function.

* FTP is a data transmission protocol performed between client and host computers. When using FTP operation via the internet, dedicated FTP software (such as FTP Voyager, or WS FTP Pro for Windows or Fetch for Macintosh) are required.
