I've always been nervous of posting my efforts publicly. But the only way I'm going to learn is by getting feedback from a great community like this one.
This caught my attention on Saturday, it looks like the bug (hornet?) is catching 40 winks inside the trumpet.

I'd have liked to get more of the stalk etc. in the frame, but I had to lie on a bench to get this.

nice pic, but unless your daff is about 12 inches across, that ain't no hornet;), they weigh in at an inch and a half long :nuts:

nice pic, good dof on the daff, you gonna have to reduce the size of the pic before the pixel police get here though, (800pixels along the longest edge). i think a tighter crop would look slightly better, and a more blurred background

Nice shot, could do with shallower DOF to make it "pop" a little more though....

Cheers, now reduced in size. This is the first time I've posted anything hosted by Flickr too. Usually use photobucket, which automatically does all that stuff.
The photo is how it came off the camera. Will do a bit of cropping later. Thanks for the feedback folks.
