No , it's a video recording, put onto a DVD, but it doesn't play on a computer. Only on a DVD player.

It doesn't play on a computer? It should if it's just a standard DVD and you should then be able to grab a still.

I recorded it on the Hard Drive of the Video Recorder. Then I Dubbed it onto a DVD. I've tried to play it on the computer but it won't play.
The DVD's OK as it plays on the Video Recorder. I thought perhaps there were different formats for Video player and Computer.

Free software to convert format available here (http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/)

Looks ok and will convert from most formats to most any other format.

Only another 17 hours or so to go so get it quick if you want it.

Ah, yeah the box probably uses it's own MPEG2 encoding algorithm which will cause you problems. Fingers crossed you can get it converted. If you don't have any luck and it's important let me know as I know a few number of Edit Houses in Soho who owe me a favour.
