If you've downloaded the Beta 2 version of Lightroom you may have noticed that the Clarity slider now has a central point, rather than starting from zero at the left hand edge, as do Vibrance and Saturation.
This means that they can apply a negative value. Try applying a small amount of negative to an image an see the affect.
