does anyone know of any other places to spectate without a huge fence infront of you?
I know that the bank at the chicane gets crowded pretty quickly.

Walk round to the complex Trev:thumbs: From the corner at the end of the start/finish straight through to past the complex the only thing that separates you from the bikes is 10 feet of grass and a 4 foot fence;)

I'll probably be there all weekend.....Friday is a test day and it's only £5 to get in which gives you access to the pits and the grandstand too.

It's going to be crowded just about everywhere on Sunday Trev....... but most people seem to sit up on the banking so if you go down to the fence the kids will have a great view;) Theres toilets very close to the complex...a couple of burger vans and even a bar for dad:woot:

If Sunday's weather is anything like todays Trev may I suggest you dress your kids in all the cloths they own:lol: Last year I was lucky enough to have great weather every time I visited Thruxton so until today I'd forgotten just how bitterly cold it gets when it's windy

The wind we dont mind...
But the rain!!! Am hoping that sunday wont be too bad... I have no choice but to take the kids.
But worse.. what about camera equipment?
I hav eno waterproof thingy for my kit so I wont be able to use it will I?
Am not sure the kids will be impressed standing in the rain all day...
I hope to still be going tomorow.. we will see

If it's raining hard I wouldn't risk your kit without some sort of waterproof cover Trev:nono: Plastic bag with a hole in the end for the lens may just work

I don't think I'm going to bother going to Thruxton tomorrow....I'll see how the weather is and probably set the Sky+ to record all the action then take a trip to Gurston Down for the opening round of the hillclimb ;) It's a long time since I've seen ex F1 cars doing 150mph on a bit of tarmac twelve feet wide:eek:

Thats a shame eric... I just looked at the weather and it looks like in andover its going to be a dry day according to the bbc weather.. Wont rain until 7pm :)

Well... if you do go, I'll be wearing a Blue & White Susuki jacket. (not rizla) with wife and 2 kids in tow.
Anyone else going? feel free to say hello :)
