Finally managed to get a picture of a living insect...:)

1) Probably could have done with a bit bigger DOF on this. (and for it to stay still for a bit longer)

The first could have had more dof but the second isn't to bad at all, even if it is dusty :).
Wasps always make excellent shots, if you can try to get some light on their eyes and it makes them really stand out.

Nice shots Paul. Looks like it was quite docile. They just seem to take off when I go near one. :thumbs:

I think this one was having gender issues, it was just crawling all over one of my wife's Many shoe box's and appeared very reluctant to leave.;)

as you say a little more DOF in the 1st would work wonders, but then .. there's always next time??
2nd shot, very square on, but very well taken

lovely shots! I wouldnt be seen dead anywhere near a live wasp hehe
