Hey Everyone,
I took this macro of an eye, I think the colors of the iris were captured well but the white areas turned out really blown.
Had to use the flash, which didnt help I dont think. I still dont know very much but still enthusiastic.
Would be interesting to get some opinions as well :) also, is there any processing that could make it a better shot?
Cheers

looks to me like you're focused on the reflection rather than iris?
Only suggestion I can make is to use natural light and not flash.

Hey Mark when you take a shot you are suppose to look through the other end  Nice shot btw ;)

Yeah, I guess I could so with a tripod or something so that I can make do without flash. :)

Nice shot, the detail in the eye if you can get close is just amazing.

Mark, If you have suffiecient natural light you won't need a tripod.
I took this shot last weekend, natural light through the patio doors, no tripod needed

Thats good
What I meant was if I was going to take one in the same light again I might be better of having a tripod, is that right?

Mark,
Sorry, misunderstood you. If using same light levels then yes, use a tripod. Just be careful with longer shutter with the subject moving.
