I'm just getting ready to go and do my first wedding :help:
Strangely enough, I'm not that nervous, more excited!
I'm doing it as a favour and receiving no payment and if I wasn't doing it there wasn't going to be a photographer there! It's technically a blessing as the couple got married in Vegas last week and got pro photographs done then!
Anyway, I'll post my experiences and some of the results later on! I've done a fair bit of research so hopefully it'll go well.
Wish me luck!:)

Hope the Wedding goes well I did my first just before Christmas and a couple more since. Get yourself a good helper to get the people when and where you need then. Dont be afraid to be just a little bit bossy and keep flattering the bride and bridesmaids. Watch your backgrounds and I suggest you shoot wide open, except the big groups or where you want the background to stand out.
Enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck I am sure all will be fine, just watch your shutter speed and ISO.
Looking at your gear I notice you do hot have any flash guns listed, I would highly recommend getting your hands on one if possible.
I bet you will be nervous just before your next wedding (if you do another). :-)

Thanks for the good wishes!
What a hectic day, left the house at 1400hrs and not back till 2200hrs. Thoroughly enjoyed it, although didn't get to take as many photos as I would've liked, it was quite a tight schedule as it was a later start, still managed to fill 2 x 2GB cards ***.
I take my hat off to the people who do wedding photography for a living, it's a nightmare trying to get everyone arranged the way you want and it's very hard work.
I'll post tomorrow with some pictures and more thoughts on the day, but if I was going to do this for a living I'd need a serious amount more practice and experience!

ps - should update my sig, I've recently got a 430ex speedlite!
