I urge anyone local to come to this event as its hugely entertaining. Basically you get given clues and then you have to dash around town finding photos to take. You can't use your laptop or do any processing outside of what your camera gives you. You have to be inspired by the clues and Liverpool on the day. Its awesome fun. Anyone can enter and last year, despite having 2 professionals on our team, we got pwnd. But the images were excellent to look at.

Marcel, David Colbran, Jimmy Lemon and I as 'The A-Team' :D You need to be in teams of 2 - 4. No singles I'm afraid. If you win your work will be hung at the Tate too.

Shoot Experience returns to TATE Liverpool for the second year running, to help celebrate their 20th birthday.

Following Shoot Liverpool 2007 which sold out well in advance we have announced 2 events but tickets are selling fast. The theme of the day is SENSES and clues will lead participants on a photographic treasure hunt through the streets of Liverpool around Albert Dock and the city in teams of 4 to discover the sights, sounds, taste, smell and feel of the City of Culture.

Participants take digital photos of the answers before ending the treasure hunt at the stunningly (and now all grown up) TATE Liverpool.

First prize will be sexy new Olympus cameras and Mathmos lamps will also get a look in at the awards ceremony, Tiger beer will come to the table and bring a taste of Singapore to the day.

The event will be followed by an exhibition of the day’s best images, which will take place in the TATE Liverpool Studio from 20th - 25th May 2008, the gallery opening will happen on Tuesday 20th May 2008.

I said that I would enter this with my pensioner neighbour who has an interest in photography she has lots of enthusiasm, so if there is a team short of 2, we could make up.

They've got these things called roads. Magical inventions that bikes can "ride" on.

My Saturday has just been filled up with a house warming party in Derby - so I am only free Sunday.

Ah shame. Sunday is looking like the more popular day so far.

Are the photos copyright to Shoot Liverpool, or with any restriction on showing them elsewhere? Would be great to see some of them here ...

No not at all. They're our photos. The only time photos are generally copyright to a larger organisation is when you're employed by them. They will appear on here :)

Its whether there is another team to join. I think you have to make the team online too. So far I think we have 1 team. Marcel, Jimmy, Benneh and me.

It went well.

Out of the 9 clues, we won one of them (The open clue of "See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil"), with the winning shot showing in Jimmy_Lemon's flickr stream / 366 thread.

We had a great day all in all (Well I did, the others either enjoyed it or did a good job of pretending they did :D).
