Just got the Sigma 150mm Macro today and found this big lady under the patio table, I'm not very good Id'ing Arachnids but I think this is a wolf spider.

Thanks for the comments, it is a big lens to hold and i think a tripod or monopod is a definate but it sure allows you to get good shots without getting too close and disturbing the insects. i also have a canon 60mm macro but always struggled to get anything decent, so i am going to keep that as my potrait lens as it's great for that....bring on the bugs!!
