View Full Version : First Fitba' Efforts
Froma a local park. Not great but it's my first go at sports stuff. All handheld with the 100 - 400L.

I really like the composition of some of these you seem to have really captured the action, I'm a bit curious as to why you have shot them all at F8 or there abouts? I would have opted for a wider aperture to try and throw the backgroud out of focus a bit more and make the players pop out. I would also say that you should be carefull about what you have in the background obviously this is tricky in the local park but the less clutered the background the better.

Cheers for the comments. I tried a a variety of apertures and exposures etc, took 167 shots in all. These just happened to be the best action shots when I got them onto the PC. As I said first effort and I was all over the place with trying to pan, zoom and auto focus at once. I was conscious of the bg's but as you say it's difficult in a local park. I was quite happy to get half a dozen kinda worthy of posting.
Ta! again:thumbs:
