Got mine delivered today and have been busy since I got home but I wanted a bit of advice when using it....

1) Which type of lens is the best to use

2) Is it better to remove the UV filter I have on the lens

3) Any pointers on how to get the best out of it

Thanks in advance

What are you using it on and what Raynox is it?

Raynox DCR250 running on a Nikon D80, I have 3 lenses 50mm 18-135 and a 70 - 300......

After the close up shots and just general taking.....

Alby is more your man for this but when I had one I found I got better results with my 70-300 than my 28-105.
Personaly I would remove the filter, it's another piece of glass in the equation and unless its a real good one it's likely to effect IQ

Again Alby (Ajophotog) is your man, but the problem I found when using the Raynox is that when using flash you get a shadow of the lens. I had moderate success using a DIY diffuser ( a better bounce card) there is a link somewhere on the forum, and making sure that I had the camera pointing directly down on my subject.

I would use it on the 135 or the 300 and yes it will block your flash unless you use it off camera or bounce the light over the front of the lens. Use manual focus and move the camera in or out to get focus.
