Great shooting. Love the level of detail. Though I have come to expect nothing less from your photos.

Now that is really disgusting. Excellent photography though. Where on earth do you find all these horrible creatures?:eek:
Great shots as usual Alby, superb detail in all of them but No1 has superb wing detail, you done well getting it that good.
The're cute little buggers with some endearing habits aren't they Alby? :D
Stunning set as always
I prefer the "full on" of #4 out of all of them though
its just a shame the leaf or what ever got in the way (bottom center)

Thanks folks for looking and taking time to comment :D
Barbara: They just visit my garden as that is where most of my insect shots are taken.
Chris: this chap was in the thick of a forget me not clump unfortunately and kept walking from one stem to another. I think I need to train them a little more

Well you seem to have cracked the quality side of things, Alby
now you just need to polish up on your training skills:D
BTW I was mostly pulling you leg over the positioning as I couldn't find anything else to "complain" about
Or should that read "sour grapes" :D
Just awesome stuff!

How close is the end of your lens to the actual insects, i find using my extension tubes that they are practically touching ... ? and if this is the same in your case how come they don't fly away!
great inspiring shots all the same !
keep up the good work !
got to say I think they're beautiful
Alby strikes again :D
Have you got rotting corpses in your garden to attract all these insects?

Thanks for looking and passing folks ;)
Dod: I agree ;)
David: I guess about 4 inches away.
Baz: No corpse just never use pesticides and I have a pond which attracts numerous insects.

4 inches, that sounds like quite a good working distance to me, what lens is it ?
