Hi all,

O.k, so the shot, its not perfect perfection super amazing. But i was pretty please with this just from the sharpness and the exposure isnt to bad either for around 7 o clock last night.

Tell me what you think, and any improvements on photoshop you think i should make if i ever PP it.

Thanks, C&C welcome

Not a lot to criticise there. Don't know why everyone seems to think you need photoshop for every picture. I might straighten a wonky shot and tweak exposure if needed but from the camera usually works for me.

There are background vertical cues in this shot and they indicate this shot is rotated a bit. Looks like resizing the picture has made it softer so it could use a little sharpening. About all the crit i can come up with ;)

Nice cat :)

Good shot.

If PPing I would suggest only a levels adjustment if required (which it probably needs at the white end) and any desired sharpening. Otherwise it is fine "as is".

I agree, good shot as is, though the crop that RobertP has done is better.

As already suggested, just tweak the levels abit and sharpen as required (if at all)

By the way, that is the spit of our cat 'Archie'....I know he goes out for long periods but didn't realise how far afield he went!

You had an advantage to start with because it's a cat, so by definition it's going to be a nice shot, but even so it's well captured. I wish my two would pose like that!

But I agree with the others that it needs rotating, sharpening, and a levels/exposure adjustment. Photographing black and white cats is hard (I know!) and it's very difficult indeed to get it right in the camera; with respect, I don't think you have done so here.

I took the liberty of a quick 2-minute edit.
