I've seen them (and SandMartins) around for a couple of weeks now. Hopefully once the House Martins start showing up in bigger numbers (only seen one here and there) it means better wheather is ahead ... we can dream right? :shake:

Nice shot BTW

A moving one, you must have been very quick to get that, they move too fast for me to attempt that sort of thing! I was taking pics the other day of a couple that have come back and look to be nesting in the ususal place.

Well done getting that in focus over the water!
I've been frustrated many times trying to take photos of them zipping over the surface like that

aye, that's a good catch :) Ours arrived back yesterday, unfortunately we've demolished one of the big old sheds they used to use. Never mind, still plenty of other places for them :)

None round here yet either, good capture as I imagine it was motoring a bit.

good capture as I imagine it was motoring a bit.

It was quite a windy day so I decided to try and capture them flying into wind as their speed was much slower, only problem was the sun was on the opposite side. The speed was the deciding factor... Flying towards the sun and with the wind they where travelling faster than a speeding bullet. :)
