It was a sunny day yesterday, so I sat on the beach for a while and snapped some pictures of these two birds.

Never really taken photos of birds before, but I don't think they turned out too bad.

I know a longer lens would have been nice, even if the birds we pretty close. But you can't have it all.. or can you?

Being picky, I would have liked to see bird 1 in isolation, I don't understand why you didnt ask the guy in the background to move for a second??? Jesus....

:D

Nice pics, I like the feeling of friendship I get from the 2nd.

Not too shoddy at all. I tend to make a complete mess of the exposure on white birds, those seem pretty good.

Didn't turn out too bad at all GooGaBu nice and sharp. Whites in the 2nd one look a little blown but these are much better than anything I've ever tried to produce so hush my mouth

Thanks for the comments to everyone, and yes I know I should've asked the bird at the background of the first shot to move.
I am sure she was a reasonable bird and would've understood my request..

And now that I look at it, perhaps the whites on the chest of the second snap are a little blown out.. but they will have to do for now..

Really like the 2nd picture, shows a nice relationship and has an interesting composition :)
