This is my first attempt at time lapse photography.

I think it's pretty good for a first attempt and hopefully I'll pick up tips from seasoned togs on here. One thing I did learn from it is that my sensor needs a clean!

Good attempt. How far apart were you're shots, did you leave a tripod setup with the camera on or take it off after each shot and then come back every so often, I'm sure it took a lot of patience to do this, somthing I know I dont have but I'm curious on how you done it.

I used markp's gizmo that he made for timelapsing (is that a word?)

Yes, I had the camera on a tripod for about two hours and it fired about every five seconds and ended up taking about 1100 shots all told. Then I resized the photos and created a slideshow in Movie Maker with .25 second increments.

I fancy taking my camera and tripod into town and sitting with it for a couple of hours but I'm not a brazen "street" photographer so not sure if I fancy the inevitable hassle.

i'm impressed mate, its not something i've seen before (apart from on nature programmes!).

Def gonna add this to my list of things to try!!

Such a nice idea. I really want to try this out as well. Maybe should of had less of a gap in the timing in Movie Maker to make to flow more. A bit stop start it felt. Still really good

I thought that that was more to do with the clouds than the timing. I'll give it another go and try to smooth it out.

If anyone else has a go tips and tricks would be well received!

Wow, that's cool, totally given me inspiration :D
Did you sit firing it every 5 seconds for two hours? Or is there a device? (bit confused on what you said above!)

Yes, theres a device. Markp made one, I'm sure he'll sell you one if you PM him :)

I would be tempted to speed it up more tigerimages, when I messed about with timelapse, the faster the better seemed to work for clouds. Also did you shoot in manual? as it looks like the brighness changes in some frames, thinking this could be just the sun coming out and illuminating the wall or it could be the camera metering for the clouds that appear etc and altering the exposure slightly. Again would probably be less noticable at a higher speed.

Didn't shoot in manual no, I've never really ventured that far around the wheel!

I did AV F11 I think...
