Hi All
Looking to buy a Carbon Fibre Gitzo tripod. Ideally I would like to get my hands on a used G1325, but looking to what the alternative is on the new range of Gitzo's, and the equivelent model to the now deleted G1325. So any advice would be apprieciated. Or open to alternative suggestions re other manufacturers i.e Benro, Manfrotto. Has to support a 500mm F4 and Nikon D300 with Battery grip so over 6Kg weight!! :help:

GT3540LS is the current equivalent of the G1325 i think, i have one and use it for my 1D MK3, and 600 F4L (lens is almost 6kg on its own) with no issues :)

Here's a page with suggestions on a replacement for the 1325

I have a GT3541LS which has replaced the Gt3540LS. I've yet to find out what exactly they changed though!

I actually ordered the 3540LS but warehouse express rang me and said its discontinued and they'll send me the replacement instead.
I've still to find barely any mention of it online apart from its 20g heavier lol

GT3530LSV looks the nearest to the 1325 to me.;)
