Went up for a look around these old abandoned brickworks. Really good looking place that unfortunately is being lost to trendy housing developments. The oldest of the three kilns is now a block of identical pastel coloured houses for people who want to live in a place with 'culture' but enjoy nothing more than stamping all over it. Plans are afoot to convert the two remaining kilns to 'warehouse' style lofts with manicured lawns and potted plants in abundance.

The place is fenced off, but it would be easy enough to get in for a look around. I really wanted to go inside, but being on a fragile visa over here I'm too scared to get the slightest mark against my name.

6. Inside the chimney that was outside the fencing. This is just like being in a wind tunnel.

Thanks for the comments. These were taken more as exposure tests for my slides than shots in their own right, thought they'd make a good processing exercise as well though. Any thoughts, critiques or abuse from anybody else?

Good set, 1, 5 and 6 for me - they look a tad dark on this monitor though,

The last two really take it for me though the composition of the inside one is spot on!

Oh, yes. Nice set and great location. Dramatic and desolate - just oozing with bleakness. I like it a lot! No. 2 I think should be B&W too.
