hes probably too busy realising that he should have labeled the boxes with the important things like....

a) the kettle
b) the teabags

and is running around trying to have a brew in the new gaff!

Mohain and Cobra - sympathies from me - it will all sort itself out eventually, but that's no consolation at all at the moment. Forget the kettle and tea bags - where did you put the bottle opener and wine/beer/whatever it takes to cheer you up while you sit this one out until Monday. :)

If your estate agents (etc) are anything like mine they couldn't organise a good time in a brothel :D
Good luck for Monday

It fell through.

£400 solicitors fees and probably another £20k off the price if we manage to find a new buyer.

Too right. I was talking to someone about this last night.

I've also heard recently that banks have been pulling mortgage offers AFTER exchange, leaving the buyer deep in it with 10% of the purchase to pay AND being sued for breach of contract by the sellers, all with no recourse to the bank as their term say they can pull the offer anytime up to completion without penalty. What a mare! I might just burn the place down and claim insurance ;)

Sorry to hear about it Mohain :(
we are still being buggered about one sale down the pan end of last year and this one looking increasingly dodgy
our chain was complete months ago but one in the chain is finding "excuses " not to exchange at the mo:(

That also under concideration but would still have to sell this side of the boarder
