None of this makes me feel any better. My 10-20 should be on my camera now but today they delivered a 17-35 instead. :( I had a trip planned for tomorrow starting at 5 AM and this has put a real damper on things. Some great photos here.

lol thanks Matty :D Likewise I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who's bonkers too ;). It was a fun day shooting swans by the river in Windsor - they were so used to people around them that they were quite happy to have a 10-20 shoved in their face
It's just such a versatile lens that somehow always makes you smile when you see what it can do

I think I read your story about that earlier. I'm not surprised, when I bought my first DSLR a 350D I got it from Jessops. Chris (my hubby) got home with it for me to discover there was a 400D inside  But since it was the wrong software and instructions I had to take it back. It was very frustrating. I hate when things don't go to plan and you have something nice planned. So you have my sympathy.

Oh go on then. Mine is a bit soft on the RHS which I'm going to get sorted soon but this is a selection from it so far. Woodsy, I'm loving the colours and mood in your 6th shot. Also Grendel - love the swan, I've got a shot like that of a donkey's nose somewhere.

I almost can't believe you did that. You don't need the software that comes with the camera. Am I going to burn in Hull?

Oh bugger! The Sigma 10-20 is for APS-C sensors so with my 5D I'm a bit stuffed. I could stick it on the 20D but then I'd be carrying two bodies around. Or I could get a 17-40mm for the 5D.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Have to think about this one.
sell the 5d and get a 1d instead? :D
No chance!
I might just sell the 20D and get one though :clap::clap:

http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/ - Search your camera make from there to find the cheapest.
Onestop digital have them available, shipped from HK for around £270, but I'd be getting it from the UK, as some of these lenses can have issues with softness, usually down the left hand side :)

Really love this lens, though it does still show some signs of barrel distortion even at the longer end.
Just about wide enough for the long house

@ cannockwolf:
How do you manage to get so much blue out of the sky? Did you use a filter of some sort or was it PP?
cannockwolf
02-11-2008, 12:07
the first one is unaltered, the rest have had a blue/saturation lifted in lightroom slightly but nothing too harsh it still remains true to the original

Are any of these shots with a full-frame body. I have just bought one of these (on here) and thinking of the 5d Mk II early next year? I wanted to know how it works without the crop-factor.

as far as i know it doesnt work on full frame ,it's a DC lens Digital Cropped ..if it did work i'm sure something would be errmm cropped.
Hi folks, is the 10 20 a macro lense or fisheye please.
