When this entrance was built on to an older prison at the village of Folkingham, Lincolnshire, the words "House of Correction A.D. 1825" were boldly carved across the facade. Today its a holiday property to rent that accommodates four people! My shot didn't quite convey its original grim purpose (the stocks and whipping post can be seen in the church - the treadmill is long gone!) so I gave it a blue and sepia split-toning finish.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Cold and creepy (in a Hammer horror kind of way) is the look I was going for here - in full sun its a rather nice warm stone colour.
