All with Canon 1Ds MKII, 120-300mm F2.8 lens +1.4 TC ISO400

This little feller sat on an old cast iron fence-I struggled with processing-particularly sharpening, as any USM caused the feathers (around the breast & eye) to look oversharpened-so ended up applying no sharpening-any advice on the correct approach would be appreciated.

I'm lucky really, there is a decent sized population of kites on my doorstep, and I have the time to go and shoot them (absolute heaven :woot: )
