Are you a Boy Scout then?
I like the last 3
Last 2 I really like
Last one, inverted I presume, is ace
If you invert the penultimate one, and in Levels set it to 120, 0.7 and 255 - I think that's ace too
Well done
Ging gang goolie n all

I've shot fire (badly) a few times pre digital - on the back of these though, I may well have another crack for the 'arty' side of me
So thanks for yet more inspiration

I like those . I presume four was slow shutter speed, but how did you get five to look like that?

Under exposed, very fast shutter
Even less exposure in raw mode
Set it to the "coolest setting" in raw? ie, drag the slider to the blue section...

Ah, got yah. Looking again (having been told!) I can see the underexposed remains, and of course fast shutter to freeze the leaping flame. Thanks.

1/8000 sec! FFS, wouldn't something around 1/1000th-1/1,500th sec and a much lower ISO have been higher quality?
Or is fire really that quick?

Is that a quote from Homer Simpson ???
:lol::lol::lol:
Seriously though, I think you'd find you would freeze fire at 1,500 sec, which at ISO 100 is as near as damn-it the same exposure as you've already done - it just means that there'd be less noise and thus a higher quality image if you wanted a juicy big print
A neighbour of mine, who I care not for, is away next week - so I'll torch his house and see if I can get some nice fire shots too
:D
