Thanks guys. I candidly grabbed this shot of this poor girl, then put a few quid in the hat - hopefully enough to get her something to eat and a coffee.

It might have been lost if there had been no money in the hat, and you'd nicked her pic and not made a gesture, but as it is, yes it's a bit F****d up, but not yet lost. ( I hope!)
Makes you think though!

Not bad, quite graphic, but.. You've lost the detail in the blacks, there's a tad too much above his/her head, and why do they always have a dog?

Great picture, there's a few 'colourful' homeless people near me, have often thought of giving some money andaskign to take their picture. Nice one.

and why do they always have a dog?
Depending on cynicism;

for companionship/warmth
to pull on emotional heartstrings in the direcitn of the dog
If your income is low you can get a weekly grant of £10 to help pay to maintain pets with food/vet bills, and critically you do not need to provide an address to recieve this.

I think that's an excellent bit of street togging. OG's right though, there's a bit too much black and that loses detail, eg in the dog.

I'm not one for street photography, but this one really hits the mark, and tells a story. Good work.

I like this a lot, but, yes, I didn't see the dog until it was pointed out.
