this orb-weaver was lurking in my garden waiting for lunch to blunder into its web, and i decided to take a photo... Canon 30D, Tamron SP24-135 lens at 135mm, 1/100 @ f/8...

very good, nice colours, the background is totally blurred out. I would be tempted to rotate the second one 180 degrees to see if that worked.

Super shots, But it still gives me the willies!!!!
Beautiful lighting picks up this spider's colour magnificently. Also definitely +1 for getting it on a web! Great shot!

Wow feeling really creeped out. Very good close ups of my favourite creature.................NOT :thumbs:
These are nice shots, I especially like the detail in the underside shot, and have to say that considering these were not done with a macro lens they have great IQ and sharpness.
