I'm looking to create a website to put all my pics in. Can anyone recommend somewhere I can buy a decent web gallery template as I don't know enough to create my own from scratch?

Thanks
Dave

i think a lot of people use coppermine software for online galleries.

our very own gallery is Gallery2, which is great mostly. If you want webspace, i would recommend evohosting.co.uk, the chap there is good and the service so far reliable and also hostinghtml.com, very successfully runs my work and personal sites, and a damn fine chap too, and our hosts here, catalyst2.com have been helpful to us in the past.

All that help ... no wonder TPF is so damn good !?! :laugh1:

Evo's a bit on the noisy side ... turn your volume well down - but the prices seem competitve !

Personally, I use Jalbum. Easy to use and no messing about with php and cgi. Haven't got a linky but google for it. See it at my site below. I'm not sure about my current color scheme though ;)

Best thing is, the style sheets and the final HTML are all editable in frontpage. Nice and easy for a numpty like me to customise the final output.

HTH?

Thanks Gandhi

Thanks everybody. At first glance Jalbum looks to be the most user friendly.....I have downloaded it and will play tomorrow :)

Expect a handful of stupid questions by the afternoon!

The good thing about JAlbum is that its offline so you build the website and then upload it.

Been playing with Jalbum for a few days now. link (www.trojanrabbit.net)

Comments appreciated. Not sure of the compression used to produce the slides, might look into how I can do that myself rather than letting the software do it. They look as if they could do with some sharpening to me.

ps: I know that the New Year and New York links don't work, thats albums in progress :)

That looks spretty cool Dave. The only drawback I can see is you can't hot link to individual pics on other sites?

Dave - the gallery looks good, but you've only given us the link to make us jealous of all those locations on a miserable March day.
