Some of you may remember this thread I posted a year ago in the earlier HDR days!

Liverpool Street (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=21351)

I was passing through last night and thought I'd have another go :D

I did actually get stopped this time and I then spoke with the DSM who said no problems as long as it wasn't for commercial use :thumbs:

Having had a chance to browse a few more I took last night I prefer this one - the figure at the front is better placed and people seem better defined in this (plus there is sufficient movement as well) Just thought I'd pop it in! :D

Different lighting to the original one but I guess that's because it was a different time of day, but still a cracker :clap::thumbs:

DS,
Did'nt see the first shot, but I really like this, wouldn't it be great if no one was in the picture.
:thumbs::thumbs:
Good to see that you got some common sense from the DSM, If only all had as much common...

I think I would be hard pressed to say which I prefer, I love the earlier one simply for its feeling of bustle, this one is much 'calmer', and as Donna says, differently lit but gives more of an impression of large airy building. processing wise, I think this is better, its a bit more subtle, but then a years worht of practice has that effect :lol:

Both Good shots John, and the sort of thing HDR works best on IMO :thumbs:

I see it now, the first seems to be to grainy and soft much prefer this shot here, its much sharper, I know somtimes that HDR can show a lot of noise/grain, but it don't seem to show through on this one.
Be interested to know what HDR system you use, i am at the moment playing with Photomatix and have had some good results...

As Yvonne said I've had a years worth of practice coupled with learning at TPF :D

I used a single RAW and processed -2,0,+2 exposures of it in Photomatix

The resulting TIF was worked a little in CS to sharpen and tinker slightly with contrast and a slight rotate.
