Just got back from a trip to NYC and am looking for some C&C on this panorama created from about 7 shots. I've had a couple of mixed reviews about the distortion and the spires at the side, but what do you all think? (I already know about the noise, just didn't have the time to run it through a filter :))

Thanks for the feedback all, much appreciated.

Yeah, it was a pretty cool place to visit. Just the architecture alone was incredible.

Sure is, right at the Top of the Rock about 850ft up. Very cool place to visit and (in my opinion at least) much better than the Empire State building.

GREAT

Thanks :) Not that hard to do... as long as the overlaps are okay, the photostitch function does the whole lot as well as getting the perspective set up correctly (although I did play around a little with that).

Wow! Thats a great shot! I did a full panarama at the top of the effel tower last year that i'm still to work on. Its about 16 shots though.....

There's three buildings close together on the right that look like their leaning a bit. Since it's caught my eye it's all I can take notice of in the picture!

Apart from that it's a great picture! Can I ask what lense you used to take this? I tried getting the Exif data from a firefox add on but couldn't. Very interested in taking these kind of pictures!

Great stitch davem but the sky needs a bit more work as I can see several of the joins

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I've since done some touchup (cropped the left+right where you can see pillars, denoised the sky and tidied a couple joins up) and have just had a large print made of it to frame up on the wall.

Nice! PM me if you get around to doing it, I think that'd be a great shot. I do love these multiple exposure panoramas because there's so many things you can experiment and play around with.

Hi surfinrach,

Thanks for the feedback :) This was taken with the 10-22 at about 20mm, f/5.6 1/6s handheld.
