Passing Alston the other day and had my camera with me for a change.

Love the sky in the first one - looks spectacular

However I think overall I would choose the third as favourite. You can see for soo far - quite amazing actually, plus the detail in the hills is very high.

Got to agree with Warspite - Pic 3 for me, Pic 2 I find quite difficult on the eyes due to the shaddow on the fells.

Think you might find more snow on them by today ;)

lovely photos ken, #3 is my favourite, not keen on the sun, i tend to squint when i look at it, #2 is moody, just the way i like em, but 3 has everything in it including some lovely hightlights.

Definately improved #2, not sure if its as good as #3 yet, but definately like all three now.

A lovely set that show how the "mood" of fells changes so swiftly with the light. Any of them better most you see for sale in the tourist shops.

#2 is a definate improvement Ken - Well done.

Remind me is this all done in PS or do you use something else to get this technique?

Thanks for the comments again chaps. I think I prefer #2 myself especially after having another go with the processing.
