at the moment its this, but i go through periods of liking different songs more
Tom Petty - Wont Back down
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHJMp5bz9u8
Tricky, mine changes very often, but... if i had to pick one song which I always get a buzz from and feel the need to blast out of my stereo to deafening levels, it would be...
Josh Wink - Higher State Of Consciousness.
Y9gWA491H4U
No contest - Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
For all you youngsters :D who don't know it, the guitar work on this is out of this world, particularly from about 6 minutes into the video.

The Jam - That's Entertainment, has to be one of the greatest all time songs, i just love the way Weller managed to capture the feel of early '80s Britain in a 6 1/2 minute track. I want this played at my funeral.

I can't imagine many sharing my taste in music
I like almost anything that's not C&W or Jazz. I lived in Europe for many years including the time this was huge everywhere - except the UK of course.

Only just found this thread... I've been a Floyd fan for nearly 40 years ( first saw them live on the Animals tour in '77) and Comfortably Numb never fails to move me. I've just followed from that link through to four other different versions of the song... spectacular, made my night... thanks for posting it.

My favourite changes by the hour!
Mandolin Wind is the current one although I'm not a fan of Rod Stewart in general. Youtube link below:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBxh4-rjvNI
The other one of the moment is Chuck Berry's Promised Land although I don't care for this particular rendition.

Me and my dog busk together for charity (I play the flute or clarinet, he dresses up and dances appropriate to the chosen repertoire) and our tastes are fairly catholic.

I've just been raking around you tube for some of my older favorites
such as focus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5gju-jrFzE&feature=related)
and Emerson Lake and Palmer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Y1x04hAUT4)
(Jeeze can Keith E play that moog or what) The "sound" from those days certainly had character :D
And of course not forgetting the incredible
Rick Wakeman (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbaZI3m_ppw&feature=related)Another great keyboard player
Impossible to pick an absolute favourite, but 'Imagine' by John Lennon would have to come close. Beautiful lyric, simple accompaniment, and who can argue with the sentiment?
