Crit on these two if you please.

I've almost got a horrible feeling that the lens isn't as sharp as it should be. (12-24 f/4 nikon, btw)

number 2 for me


number one could do with a slight dodge and burn to darken the sky and bring out the detail a little in the wall of the jetty ever so slightly

nice lead in and good composition on the 2 shots

No 2 for me as well.
No 1 is very contrasty for me and the horizon looks a bit off (slope left to right?)
With No 2 i would have prefered a "landscape" format shot and to have lost the bottom third leaving the water to provide the foreground.
Having said that both are v good
