Nah I find wallpaper an annoyance so stick with a plain background (teal in case anyone is interested) I've kept the same basic look since win98 :)

Thanks Wail :) I have this debate all the time with people....in every application, menus drop down, so they should do on your OS too? Seems logical to me!

if you have Leopard its cmd - shift - 3 :) should save it as a png file to the desktop :) will then have to change it to jpg (i did it in Photoshop)

Yup, when I was using Windows machines that is where I would have it placed too. People would be like  but I found this arrangement to be so much more "natural" to my work habits ... it was, oddly, more relaxing for my eyes!

Heres Mine Taken In Thailand January 2008

Phra Nakhon Cave Temple Thailand

http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/gallery/data/1754/dektop.jpg

Khao San Roi Yot National Park, from the beach and after a short long tail boat ride we landed on a beach, we walked up a track through the rainforest which led to another rocky path with a 450m steep uphill mountain trek, it was really hard going, to see the Phra Nakhon cave where there is the Subterranean sanctuary of King Rama V's pavilion, the Tham PHraya Nakhon cave chamber contains a temple , breathtaking, absolutely amazingly beautiful, and well worth the 50 mins up hillwalk slog, we passed many people who gave up
