I think the idea is there but could of been executed with more attention to framing. If you had used a slightly longer focal length to crop in further removing the sky and giving the bike a larger presence in the photograph it would of worked better. This would of minimized the bland foreground too.

That's a place that is definately worth going back to, I like the shot very much (even if it is way over the forum size limits) but I think it would be better without the boat in it. The colours are fantastic!

I find something strange about this image, its a beautiful image but, why is the boat lower in the water in comparison to the level of water directly infront of the bike. The water reaches upto the white edging on the pavement and the boat looks about two feet lower!!!

Thats a lovely shot, nicely seen and taken and the colours are great - a tighter crop might have worked better as KB says but the reflections are another asset to this image.

Hi Atropico,

I am no expert, but the picture looks fine to me. It seems to have all the ingredients of great colour, composition and interest.

I like it as is and for me it would be ruined if cropped. Tried hard to see the problem with the water line but cannot.
