Took these this morning, at Caldecote Lake. I've searched through my bird books, and I think they are Warblers of some kind. But not sure which.
I hope someone can put me out of my misery :bang:

I thought #4 maybe a Whitethroat?
Thanks :)

Looks like a Garden Warbler (Sylvia borin) most likely as the beak looks the correct length or a Cetti's Warbler (Cettia cetti) and both are common in southern & central England & into Wales but then again I could be completely wrong.

hmmmmm; thanks so far :)
I kinda ruled out a Chiffchaff, because the song was so melodic. They sat high up in the tree, singing for all they worth. I could hear a Chiffchaff elsewhere, so I'm pretty certain it's not one of those. Garden Warbler, possibly.
Not easy to identify some of these Warblers. I should stick to easier ones

Easy one first ... Whitethroat is the last of the bunch ...

And for the rest I would suggest they look like they could be Willow Warbler ... ... but the song will be the real tell tale with all these LBJ warblers ... :suspect:

:p

Thanks Ven; I'll stick with Whitethroat for the last one then, and the others can go down as Warblers. :)

thats a tricky bunch.4 is defo a whitethroat and 3 is most likely a willy warbler.as for 1 and 2 i cant decide on reed or garden warbler, its colour on the chest looks a bit two toned for the drab garden warbler.nice pics anyway
