Black-Winged Stilt

I'm afraid to say that I followed the twitchers yesterday, but not intentionally! I met my father for a days birdwatching and the halfway point between us was where this bird had been reported. Very obliging too for a rare visitor to the UK.

I know the crop is tight but my bird shots are mostly cropped as identification aids and I like viewers to see as much bird as possible (don't we all!) ;)

You have to admit that its eye is just plain bonkers!

Excellent shot of this elegant wader. Only one i saw was the famous Sammy at Titchwell.

That's simply an excellent shot - wouldn't like to get in his way with a beak like that!! :)
