the swallows come back every spring to nest, and indulge in various displays of aerial grace, zooming around like little fighter jets and filling the air with their warbling calls. these two were engaged in some sort of mating behavior - either rival males vying for a female, or a male chasing a potential mate... both sexes look pretty much alike, so it's almost impossible to tell which these are. 30D, Sigma EX 80-400 @ 400mm, 1/3200 @ f/5.6...
