Lightroom wont open

Help. Suddenly, Lightroom 1.3 wont open... whether I click the shortcut, the actual folder file or anything.

Any ideas?

I think I had it happen before but cant remember what I did.

Grrr Ive installed again as a "repair" option which says it will sort out shortcuts, registry entries etc. It says it worked successfully but it still wont open.

Hi Janice, going by Adobe's other programs I imagine that it could be a problem with your preferences file. Its in Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferencesettings folder. I haven't tested it in Lightroom so make sure you back up your preferences file to the desktop before trying. You can restore it after then if it doesn't work. I have had problems before in Illustrator and Photoshop and it usually works with them. You must go to "Tools, folder options, View, Show hidden files and folders" first in Explorer before doing this though as otherwise you wont be able to find the directory.

Ah thanks for that. I have just done a system restore back about 4 days and it is fine now.

Ah good. because after installing 1.4 adobe told everyone to forget it and go back to 1.3 didnt they!! :D :lol:
