he was very well spoken of on the radio yesterday, all sorts of old folk saying how good he was, so RIP

Well back in the 60s when it all hit the fan he was Minister For War, youngest guy ever to hold the post I believe, an ambitious git, and not particularly likeable in the least. After he fell from grace he spent the rest of his life working among down and outs in Londons East End, became a very different fella, and quite contented with his lot. He paid a high price for his mistake though, although he professed to have no regrets.
