This is the first attempt with the new Sigma 120-300 2.8

Poped in the Wildlife Trust on my way home today, poor light as it was about 5:30 in a very shady area. Both taken handheld with ISO 800 and f/2.8.

Bit of a scruff but I was very lucky in that after just a few minutes he came down and landed right in front of me :D Sat there long enough for me to get a few shots off so I could continue home happy

Cracking shots  Very sharp
He looks like he's been in a fight with something
If he won, imagine what the looser looks like

He is a scruffy little fella but you've captured him very well. Nice and sharp with great detail

Thanks for the comments :D He did look like he had been in a bit of a ruck but he was very obliging to just sit on a log right in front of me. I assume from his boldness he was the winner of whatever altercation caused his scruffy appearance

Very happy with the new Sig though  This was completely unplanned and therefore I didn't have a pod with me so handheld was the only option. There was no way I would of pulled off these shots with slower glass
