View Full Version : Argh!!! CS2 just 'froze'
Im half way through editing a pic & part of CS2 has frozen on me.
I can use the tools and layer pallete etc, but 'File, Edit, Layer, Select, Filter, View, Window & Help' arent responding.
Is there anything I can do to rectify this without closing, is there a way to save the work Ive done so far?

Try Control +S that should save your work, or Shift+Control+S to do "Save As"
Good luck>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Many thanks for your reply Chappers ... but its not having it ... looks like Im going to be starting over! :bang:

Just a thought, closing down may force it to ask " Do you want to save" ?
I know... Id worked soo damned hard on this image too (intricate areas of skin smoothing)
I really dont fancy starting from scratch, tut! :shake:
EdIT: thanks for that, I dont think I have anything to lose by trying the above at this stage.

Glo - CS3 does the same to me - its highly annoying - but you just sigh and get on with it. And start again
Note : Swearing, doesnt help.

Youre right it doesnt help much ... but kicking Martin Evening across the floor helps a little bit more! ;)

save a lot all the way through: its boring and dull but it means u never have to start from scratch when this happens. if u learn the shortcuts it doesn't take long: just cntrl+s once you've saved as once.
Edit: if your working with loads of layers save the original then go: image>duplicate. close the original then flatten the duplicate image (or the layers that no longer need adjusting) this will mean much less layers being open but a copy of them still held somewhere if they were needed.
you can then use the duplcate as before and work on that (saving as you go).
