CS2 and 1D3 Raw files

Hi

Can anyone tell if I can get a update for CS2 to read raw files from my 1D3.

Checked out Adobe and my first impression is there is none..

id imagine its the same situation as the 40D......basically no update is available and you have to convert to adobe's .dng file type using their convertor....that convertor is available on the adobe site...

,dng is adobe format....digital negative...there is no loss of file quality during the transformation...

It is on the Adobe website as I have done it.

One of the advantages of converting the DNG is the need not to have to upgrade your software if your current version doesn't support your nice new shinny camera.

Also DNG seems to produce smaller files. It's down to the way it uses lossless compression on RAW images and a smaller embedded jpeg.
