Saw this under the platform canopy at Sheffield Park station. Is it a bird nest or something else more sinister?!!!!

Hmm, could be a swallow's nest.
Yep.... looks like the swallows next we've got on our house :)
looks like a swallows nest, can't see a way in though.

My first thought was a Swallows nest having seen something very similar on one of Bill Oddie's tv shows.
It looks a bit like a mashed up brain.... :D probably isnt though :lol:

Swallow or possibley house martin but a bird nest not wasps :thumbs:

WOW I found one of these in my Garage, and I feared the worst! I'll get a pic of it because I am sure it looked the same as this... :)
Looks like swallows to me as well - we get them up in the roof of the horses stables every year. The little b*ggers whiz in and out and nearly knock your head off, the horses don't seem to care tough!
Defintely a swallows nest, my sisters villa in Corfu get them all the time, some folk reckon you should feel privaleged to get on of these others reckon their a pest since you don't want to be stiing under one unless you want poo'd on. Entrance is usually a small opening at the top, sometimes hard to see unless you climb up.
