Compositionally, I really like it as it definitely fits the theme.

The tough one here is the lighting is really quite harsh and in my opinion, just a little too much lead in the water line. Perhaps a small crop at the bottom. Rule of thirds is not be all and end all for the horizon, but something closer to it in this shot would help highlight the great capture of the fisherman and his line.

i really like this too. i like the shape the line is casting. it almost looks as if the colours are a little flat though. my first instinct would be to bump up a little bit of contrast (or add some saturation to the clours which arent green), but that may only exacerbate the distracting light which is bouncing off the water.

Infact....using more contrast may actually be more destructive than helpful as the contrast on the character seems very good, and adding contrast to the rest of the photo would take the focus away from him. the more i look at it the only problem i see is the water being very reflective, but im sorry i cant think of any solution to that problem...:shrug:
