Something new for me to try my hand at here. These were from the BHP Perfomance show at Lydden on Bank Holiday Monday. It was a bit of a mixed bag as far as circuit action went. The drift cars were only out a few times during the day, in between we had a mixture of Jap sports cars and people having their own track time. Weather was cracking, probably a bit too bright for great shots. Anyway here's a small selection. Please feel free to C&C - my first time shooting these, and I'll probably go back for more some time.

#4 - I don't ever recall seeing a mk1 estate before - did they make these? My guess was it's a converted hearse?

No.7 is HOT!..... Love them

I have seen another estate before but it was many moons ago.

Try getting a worms eye view next time, I have seen some drifting video taken low down and it looks really good especially if you can see daylight underneath and a hint of body roll.

#5 almost works for me, it's just missing a little something. Maybe if the headlight was in frame it would really work?

Great set anyhow, #7 is of course, awesome.

Absolutely love shot 7. great capture

in answer to your question about the escort estate. this was a standard production model and was current for both the Mk 1 and 2. you dont see too many these days but i have seen quite a few for sale which were ex fire service vehicles(mint). most have dissapeared into obscurity with the popularity of the normal 3 door models. i would live to get my hands on one!

Thanks for that StuntMonkey.

On the subject of Mk1s. I must have seen a good dozen of them heading towards the coast on the M20 this morning. There must have been some sort of Euro road trip going on. They looked fantastic :)
