Nice! In my opinion, I think it'd benefit from a tighter crop and being displayed at a larger size, but it is good none the less.

I like the crop as it is. Nice composition and good exposure. Try layering a few exposures as this can sometimes bring out the afterburners with more detail. Good capture.

I was there as well and that shot was as they pulled away. I was shooting 300mm with a 1.4 TC on a 40D (1.6 crop) and I still had to crop into my image a fair amount.
